Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) before using Safetied (“the App”), operated by Insoc LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Safetied, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App. Apple’s standard End User License Agreement governs your purchase and use of the App from the App Store. These Terms add to it.

Description of Service

Safetied is an iOS and iPadOS logbook for aircraft mechanics. It drafts maintenance record entries, signs them on your device, prints stickers for your paper logbook, and keeps a copy of each signed entry with a photo of the page. It also provides a verification page for printed codes.

Your records

Safetied is a record-keeping tool. You remain responsible for the content and accuracy of every entry you sign, and for complying with the regulations that apply to you. Safetied does not check your work, does not decide what a regulation requires, and does not replace the aircraft’s logbook.

You own your records. They are stored on your device, and you are responsible for keeping backups, including exports of your archive. Signed entries are append-only: the App provides no way to edit or delete a signed entry, and corrections are made by adding a new entry.

The verification page states what it proves and nothing more. A green result means the signature checks out and the hash matches the paper. It shows that the holder of the key in the code signed exactly that content hash. It does not show who holds the key, and it does not show that what the entry says is true.

Purchases

Safetied is free to download. Safetied Pro is available as an annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are made through the App Store, and Apple handles payment, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds under Apple’s terms. Manage subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. We do not receive your payment details.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Safetied only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the App to create false or misleading maintenance records
  • Sign an entry for work you did not perform or supervise as the regulations require
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or third-party services
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App’s functionality
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App to infringe on others’ intellectual property rights

Third-Party Services

Safetied relies on Apple services, including the App Store and, if you turn on sync, iCloud. We are not responsible for the availability of those services. Your use of them is subject to Apple’s terms.

Intellectual Property

Our Content

Safetied and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Insoc LLC and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Content

You retain ownership of your records and photos. We do not receive them, and we do not claim any license to them.

Disclaimers

Safetied is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Merchantability
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Non-infringement
  • Accuracy of information

Safetied is not endorsed by, or affiliated with, any aviation authority. The regulatory references in the App and on this site are for convenience and are not legal advice.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Insoc LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including:

  • Loss of data
  • Loss of profits
  • Business interruption
  • Regulatory action, or loss of certificate privileges, arising from your records

arising out of your use or inability to use Safetied.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Insoc LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • The content of the records you sign
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will update the effective date above and post the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of Safetied after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the App for conduct that violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or third parties. Your signed records remain in your archive on your device.
